Talk:Creatures Docking Station 2

From Creatures Wiki
Revision as of 11:01, 28 May 2011 by Don (talk) (moved Talk:Creatures 4 to Talk:Creatures Docking Station 2: 2D would have to be a DS spin off if they licensed it now. So moving this to an easier name while we wait for more news on this new 'C4'.)

Ok, ok, I give. This big thing was announced where, exactly? :) ElasticMuffin 23:41, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, I'm tempted to revert this as being nonsense. - 23:43, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, if I recall, all the relevant posts are at the Gameware forums, in one of the discussion threads from a couple of months back now - Don 00:03, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Well, I don't see anything relevant. The Creatures 4 thread fizzled out forever ago, without having gotten anywhere other than "ooh, it'd be cool!", and Lisa essentially saying that there's no way they'd let the community do Creatures sequels. The Creatures 3D thread is again just a "ooh, it'd be cool" thread, with a little more technology discussion involved, and isn't C4 anyway. Other threads seem to be irrelevant along the same lines. If you'd like to link to something I've missed.. - Fuzzie 00:35, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. Such claims as have been made by this anonymous edit need to be substantiated by more than a link to this mysterious creatures4.com website. ElasticMuffin 00:39, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
From the looks of it, I'd say there are several developers who are eager to work on a hypothetical Creatures 4! I very much doubt any of them could actually do it, though. Perhaps a brief mention that at least 1 developer is interested in working on a C4. Personally, I think the very idea of a C4 being done by the community is quite ludicrous-- the amount of work involved would cause the rapid halt of the project when they realised exactly what needs to be done and the tedium involved. I'd say its just a few 12-13 year old hotheads who are sure they can do anything, and as has been demonstrated time and time again, this so called 'Creatures 4' will bite the dust. -Liam
That's pretty much my thinking on how to reword the article, yes. :) I think whether it's possible for a new Creatures game to be developed by the community depends on exactly how ambitious people are - I think a (small) whole new 2D game would be possible were people dedicated enough, but indeed, still a massive amount of tedious work. - Fuzzie 04:12, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
