Official Instructions
From the Gameware article here.
- Download the package from a mirror
- Extract the package: tar xvfj dockingstation_195_64.tar.bz2
- Go into the folder: cd dockingstation_195_64
- Run ./dstation-install
- Then run dockingstation to play the game

- Linux Game Publishing: Go here and click on the demo link near the bottom
- Treesprite's Creatures Grove: Go to Updates, then Docking Station, then scroll down
