An action that the hand can perform on creatures, and creatures can perform on the hand and each other. Most creatures feel pain when they are hit by another creature. When the hand hits a creature, the creature feels pain and punishment, so it's one of the simplest ways to teach a creature right from wrong.
Norns frequently slap each other to relieve boredom and crowdedness, and slapping seems to be a common part of the courtship process in C1.
