A hilarious and unusual glitch, the growth spurt glitch is a strange bug in Creatures 2 that sometimes occurs after the game crashes. If any creatures in the world have advanced to their next life stage at the time of the game's crash, but before the game had the chance to autosave, their bodies will still be using that life stage's sprites when the world is reopened, even though they will be the same life stage they were before, making them appear squashed (if they were going from adolescent to Youth, for example) or stretched out (baby to child).

This glitch is entirely harmless, and usually fixes itself once the norn has reached the life stage it was prior to the crash.
