Hi,

I'm trying to install Creatures 3 on my PC, but the installer won't load. I'm running windows Vista, and am an admin. This is Creatures 3, not exodus.

Here's what I've tried:

I explore the CD, run the setup.exe. I've tried compatibility mode for all of the different windows. I've tried running as administrator. I've tried the auto-run feature. I've tried the auto-run in compatibility as well ( get an error message saying it won't run with this platform/service pack regardless of windows version)

Here's what happens:

The computer thinks for a bit (loading icon next to curser), then nothing. When I look in my Task Manager, no new applications appear, but in the "Processes" tab, 3 new processes appear:

NTVDM.exe

wowexec.exe

setup.exe

I cannot end the wowexec or setup (after a little while, i get an error message that tells me "The request to end the selected 16 bit task has timed out. The Win 16 Subsystem may be unstable. Press OK to terminate the Win 16 Subsystem or Cancel to leave it running") but when I end the NTVDM process, the other 2 dissapear.

The only suggestions I've been able to find online tell me to run the setup under compatibility for Windows 2000 or XP, both of which produce the same results!

Anyone know what I can do?! I hear this game is amazing.....

Thanks!!
