Uh... hi. I'm new, and haven't made an account yet.

Well, anyway, I'm having problems with my C3 installation. I have the Creatures Trilogy CD, and had to uninstall the program because I put it in the wrong directory. Now, it started having an error at %20, %16, and now even %2 installation.

I can't totally remember the error message, but it usually has to do with installing background files or image files (namely, the a03.att file, I think.) I've tried installing it on different drives, restarting the computer, not running any programs, everything under the rainbow.

Any help would be appreciated. contact me at mollmo@yahoo.com if you don't want to reply here.

And the only reason I'm putting this here is because creature labs doesn't have a troubleshooting email anymore :(

Firstly, you need to install and run the game in a computer logon name with admin privileges. You also need to run the game in an older compatibility mode in setup.exe (setup.exe is included on the CD, it's just the installer program, I think) - if your computer came with Windows XP, the compatibility mode you want is Windows NT 4.0, and if your computer came with anything earlier than that, you want "Windows 98/Windows ME". You may also need to run your desktop in 16 bit colour, rather than 32 bit. I'd normally refer you to TreeSprite's thread on Gameware, (the new owners of CL) but the forums are down. This post is brought to you today by TreeSprite's thread on Gameware, Don's contributions to that thread, and Google Cache. ;) -Malkin 03:06, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the help Malkin, but it still doesn't work. It got to norn(something).blk and then it would freeze or crash.

At least it got farther than before. ;)
