Chaos Development was a development group set up by Ali and Richard Hanbury in 1999. Their first product was Montu, a world for Creatures 2, which debuted in 2000 (see history). More recently, they have developed Ostrova and the Yeren Grendels; this may just have been the work of Ali, as Richard has left the group.

Since developing Ostrova, Chaos has been involved in a standalone game project, an interactive crime solving mystery set in Bristol (with Befour New Media) and many web based projects. They have also recently developed Poetech, some educational software helping GCSE students with deconstructing poetry.
