Broodiness

Broodiness is a third-party drive, a chemical, created for the Kai Norns for Creatures 2, by Lis Morris. It is emitted and reduced in the mother by the presence of the baby. When a mother lays her egg, there is a window of about 10 minutes, during which she will bond to her hatchling and follow it around, paying it more attention than anyone else. During this window of broodiness, the mother will be able to feed the baby milk and she will 'fuss over it constantly'. When the mother is broody, she will be infertile and uninterested in males.
