Summary: Grornen is a young Grorn who struggles with his identity as the other children in his world refuse to accept him as a harmless norn. A Purple Mountain Norn named Leia befriends him, but this only causes further trouble when her Grendel-phobic boyfriend, Jesse, discovers this and confronts them. An enraged Hand intervenes, forcing Jesse to see Grornen for what he truly is.
