Actually, I highly doubt that the Capillata is either male or female. Why would it have sex organs? And generically, it is female - maleness is a mutation, being female is normal. Then again, the Capillata is just as easily thought of as inanimate, so does it really matter? -

To quote the Lone Shee in the Docking Station Story, "My transport creature is nearly half grown. I've decided to call her Capillata. I'm not sure it's actually female, but since ships are commonly named after the female of the species, I've decided to follow convention." - Don 18:03, 12 Dec 2005 (UTC)

If you watch the C2 intro, the "Ship" in the screenshot falls to the ground, so obviously it isn't the Capillata. Does any one else agree? - Saria 20:33, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't think that's a ship falling to the ground. Chunks of the volcano rain down from the sky in that one clip, but I don't think they even showed the ship taking off. The only ship I remember seeing in the C2 video is the one painted on the cave wall in the very beginning, which... well, actually, it looks nothing like the Capillata, nor the Shee Ark. But I think that's largely because CL wasn't even working on DS at the time and had no idea what the ship would look like. Officer 1BDI 17:00, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
