Population limit

All creatures games feature a population limit, its main intent being to stop too many creatures consuming the player's computer memory, and could also be a way to make it easier for them to manage their Norns, as a small population is easier to keep track of than a larger one.

Fortunately, large populations of Norns are a breeze for most modern computers, and as a result most people choose to modify the population limit via registry hacks (see 40 Norns), or in the case of Docking Station, altering it in-game.

It is believed that Creatures Online will incorporate a population limit of some kind. However, it will likely be area-bound, so that only a certain amount of Norns are allowed in an area at a time.
