Cupid's Lyre is a magical stringed instrument designed to put any creature that hears it into a romantic mood, indicated by pink or blue hearts. When a female gets pregnant, her pink hearts disappear. It can be played by both the hand and by creatures.
Many male Norns learn to play the lyre when they want to interest females. Also, in the case of violent females like Fiona, the infamous 'serial killer' norn, the lyre will induce her to mate with males rather than slap them to death.
